About a week ago I was contacted by Chasity to photograph her son’s 6 month memories. She wanted to have them done as soon as possible and thankfully, I had a day open for her and little Bradley. Chasity let me know some things that were important to her and from there I started to form some ideas for the session to document Bradley at 6 months. I’m beginning to think 6 month baby photography is my favorite!
Chasity told me of Bradley’s best friend, Zeus, who is a 16 week on Husky. I was already thinking of ideas of how to incorporate Zeus into Bradley’s shots. I knew this would be something important as they are both growing together and the images from this session will be forever memories of the both of them at this tiny age.
Upon arriving at their home, I was greeted by Zeus and I instantly wanted a puppy. So full of life and care free; too darn cute. Then, I met Bradley, an absolutely adorable and extremely happy baby boy. I knew this session was going to be a breeze, and it was. Bradley was so easy to make smile and laugh. Now, it’s the hard part. Every image of him is adorable, which makes my job of choosing images a tough one.
I loved working with Bradley and his family. I was able to incorporate things that meant a lot to them and their family in their session. I also learned they are from Tennessee, and are from a town not too far from where my husband grew up. Small world! Meeting people from my home state always makes Virginia feel a little more like home. Even after 4 years of being here, I still wish for the hills of Tennessee.

Zeus had the challenge of sitting still, but he definitely gave me some adorable shots of him and Bradley. I have saved the best for Bradley’s private gallery. Bradley has the most beautiful blue eyes I have photographed to date. They are to die for and I did not have to enhance his eyes in any image from his session; seriously perfect! Bradley loved the Red rocking chair, and he looked so adorable in it!

Bradley loves his feet and toes, and so do I! Sometimes I think there is nothing cuter than little baby piggies. I die every time I look at these shots. He’s just too cute for words.

The flag means a lot to Chasity and her family as it was the flag draped over her grandfather’s casket. I was very timid when she said she wanted to use it; it was brought out still folded. Thankfully, her husband was there and he helped me handle it. Honestly, I think it worked perfectly for the images and the images will hold even more meaning to their family.

You can’t be a Tennessee boy and not have a little Farmer in you. The backdrop just recently came in and I was ecstatic to be able to use it for Bradley’s session, and I can’t wait to use it again. SO cute!

… and who doesn’t love an adorable little super hero?
